Genesis of the method, by its founder

As a doctor by profession and at heart, I always remember where I come from. I learned human anatomy at a young age, got a university degree, garnered experience in public and private institutions, traveled around the world to study from an observational perspective rather than an academic one, to eventually conclude that the body is our first home. The body is an imprint of our life, and its shape is perhaps the result of what has happened to us since birth.

The first anatomy we study, those of us in the scientific world, is from dissected dead bodies. As doctors, we learn about arterial and venous lines, neurological paths and forms, mostly from a static perspective. However, several authors were able to see something different in living bodies. In research papers, Françoise Mézières and Ida Rolf, among others, have claimed that the shape of the living anatomy is different, and that this should be the object of our study. Our body is in constant change and reacts according to our feelings. From this perspective, we dive into an exciting world where we understand that there is more to us than just our bodies.
